In our highly mobile society today, many Christians take a “buffet” approach to living out their faith. They may loosely attend a local church for Sunday worship, but find their primary community with friends outside the church and consider their main source of spiritual guidance to come from sermon podcasts of other pastors. They may also be heavily involved in outreach through various outside missions organizations and nonprofits. Although all of us have expressions of our faith that extend beyond our local church, there is a danger in spreading ourselves too thin without being meaningfully rooted in a single faith community.
By becoming an official member you are making a public declaration that Immanuel Community Church will be the primary community within which you desire to follow Christ. If you have been attending ICC for some time and desire to become an official member or simply want to know more about membership, you are welcome to join a future membership class. Our membership class is only one session long. Classes are held two times a year after Sunday services. Please check our Events Page for our next Membership Class offering.
